ABOUT ME
Hi i'm Sophie, I am 25 year old graduate fine artist based in the UK.

EDUCATION
​
I graduated with a first class BA in Fine art at the University of Bolton in 2021. After this, I then attended the University of Central Lancashire, studying a Masters in Fine Art, and graduated in 2022.

BACKGROUND?
​
I first started painting/drawing portraits in 2018, where I began using the medium of acrylic paints to create pet portraits. Since then, I have been working for six years growing and developing my portfolio. My practice now extends to multiple mediums: including pan pastel; unison soft pastels; colour pencils; pitt pastel pencils and acrylic paint. I aim to extend my portfolio not only to focus on pets, but to include wildlife too.

HOW IT STARTED?
Six years ago, I decided to combine my love for animals and art.
I took a plunge and began drawing your lovely pets! With the support from my customers, followers, and family, I now complete pet portraits as a career, and its the best feeling in the world! I have completed a diverse range of animals from; rabbits to dogs.

I have two beautiful mix breed cavapoos Teddy and Fudge, and recently lost my 16 year old shihtzu Poppy, so I know how special our family pets are to each and every one of us. My aim as a pet portrait artist is to not only draw your pets, but to capture their characteristics to bring happy memory's (both past and present) of our beloved animals.
